Little Bean Strikes Again!

Garrett has conquered an impressive new skill. He can hold himself up on his arms, while lying on his tummy! He did it today multiple times like it was easy as pie (not for extended periods of time). Garrett was so proud of himself, and cracked huge smiles as Mommy and Daddy praised him. This pic was taken in the evening, so it doesn't quite demonstrate the full extent of his new skill.

Here he's taken a break. Whew. What a work out!

Other news: he just started teething. He likes to jab his fingers on his gums and chomp on his pacifer. Whatever can be put in his mouth, pretty much gets a taste or chew.

Some of Garrett's favorite things: blowing raspberries at toys and Mommy and to entertain himself; playing smile and dive-- he's looks up from nursing to smile at Mommy or Daddy and then dives back down; babbling at the top of his lungs when he wakes up in the morning.

Garrett is one chill dude. Brendan and I took Garrett to a matinee, and he was so good. It was perfect timing-- nap time. I only had to leave once, briefly to change his diaper. At the end of the movie, the other people in the theater looked over, surprised that there was actually a baby in there.

What a cute kid! One day Daddy will catch that handsome smile. Until then we will enjoy all the sweet in between faces.

New Skills

Garrett is a man of many skills. He can grab toys, shake toys, and taste toys. He is a champ at holding up his head. Garrett has become quite a chatter and can even repeat sounds. He just started blowing between his lips. Big news: Garrett recently busted a gut laughing; I think at Mommy.

the little bean or is it little sausage?

Garrett was born on August 4, 2006 at 9:45 PM, to be exact. He is one happy baby. He loves to smile and coo. Most the day he observes the world and then seems to comment on what he has seen. He is growing so fast and is learning new things all the time.
