Winter Weather

We finally got a little snow! Garrett loved it. The snow only lasted a day, but we enjoyed it while it lasted. Garrett makes an adorable snow bunny!

Weekend Adventures

Last weekend for a family outing we went to a Model Train Show and went for a mild hike. We all had fun; Garrett, particularly, had a great time!

Later in the day we drove to Pilot Mountain State Park, and walked around one of the lower trails. Garrett is getting to be such a good walker (and begining to run-- oh boy!). He loves having the freedom to roam around and explore; when Garrett gets to explore a new place, he is incredibly thrilled. We let him do bit of walking on the trail. He was in heaven.

To Grandma's House We Go

The weekend after Christmas we went to Fuquay-Varina, NC to Brendan's folks' house. We visited and went for a walk around downtown Fuquay.

Later when ate a delicious dinner and exchanged gifts. Players present include Grandma Judy, Nanny,Great Grandpa Ralph, Great Aunt Pam, Aunt Isabelle, Uncle Tim and Aunt Hannah and cousins Vinny and Mia (titles are from Garrett's POV). We had a lovely time!

The Day After. . .

The day after Christmas, Garrett had a heyday with the Christmas trash-- boxes and wrappings. Even though we had already neatened up the trash, we let him play with it because he was enjoying himself so much. Garrett is a curious and chaotic little man!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning was an exciting time around our little Charlie Brown tree:). Garrett opened each gift with equal delight. He loved everything! Once we showed him how to rip the paper, he really got into it. No surprise there. It took quite a while to get through all of Garrett's gifts, because he enjoyed each gift so much.

Brendan had to go to work during the day, but he got enjoy some of the gift opening before he left. Garrett and I spent about an hour with at lunch time; we brought him artichoke/spinach dip and pumpkin/oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies. Yum! Later, I made a delicious holiday meal (if I do say so myself). Garrett loved the food.

Besides Brendan having to work, we had a great day! It was so awesome to watch Garrett's overwhelming delight at each experience during the day.
